MIAC is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our in-house IT department. A successful candidate will possess a strong desire to learn and grow. The team is responsible for supporting both onsite and offsite employees and remote client access.


  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in IS/Computer Science or equivalent. Experience may substitute for degree
  • 3 Years of related experience
  • Able to handle multiple priorities while working under time pressures/constraints
  • Detail oriented, analytical, strong oral and written communications skills
  • Technical Certifications will be a plus

Position Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and support computer equipment and various software utilized by end users
  • Solid understanding of Windows Operating Systems and networking concepts
  • Knowledge of user management and administration in Active Directory
  • Sets up technology for new hires, and provides desktop, mobile device, phone and email usage support and training to new users
  • User-level software support for Microsoft O365 Suite and other third-party software titles
  • Hardware troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance support for Desktops, laptops, and printers
  • Experience with secure file transfer applications
  • Experience using remote tools to support remote end users and systems
  • Experience in creating documentation for process/procedures/knowledgebase
  • Quick learner can understand and apply existing and new technologies
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds of IT Equipment
  • Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment
  • Working knowledge of SCCM, KACE or similar patch/asset management tools
  • Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required
  • Experience in creating documentation for process/procedures/knowledgebase
  • Participate in 24×7 site coverage
